Hello yesterday I read a very information article for New Twitters by SilkCharm. Great article. I’m have already been doing some of her suggestions and will incorporate others. One suggestion I particularly liked was “hire some one from Twitter Agency”.

That is what this post is about. I’m looking for someone to help me with our Twitter. We’re a nonprofit called the National Canine Cancer Foundation we fund directly to researchers, grants for Cancer research in dogs but research that will directly benefit humans also. If you want more info on that you can read a blog I wrote about it. http://tinyurl.com/bljac9

Back to the point. We started our Twitter account on Jan 28, 2009 and now have today 2566 followers. A good effort for 38 days. And most are dog lovers or in the Pet Industry or Social Media people. We did not just follow anyone and take any followers especially in getting past that 2000 Twitter rule.

I also made a point to personally respond to each person following me and develop a relationship. I would go read their Twitter bio before I sent them a reply for following. Needless to say I worked to 3 and 4am doing this. Working all day and then all night can get to you. I have one person who is helping me with Twitter and LinkedIn but I really need a creative person who understand all aspects of Twitter because I have some creative ideas on how to have Twitter help us raise awareness and funds for canine Cancer research. And I’m looking to hire a like minded person who can hear what I am saying and help build onto that and help create new and unique ways to use Twitter to help a nonprofit with their mission.

To put it another way, I have been labelled by my friends as an Impulsive Visionary. Looking to hire another one.

You can contact me at gnice@wearethecure. My Twitter is wearethecure. Our belief is that if we all work together, We Are The Cure…..for Cancer in Dogs and practtically any other problem this world has.

Gary
