Fit and tailor your messages to the medium.
Do your research. Get a feel for the Twitter dialect. Get a feel for the pace. Get to know your Twitter followers (and potential followers) – and click around their particular Twitterspheres.
Make your tweets relevant and tweet worthy (note: there’s a lot more expectation/pressure for corporates to do this than there is for individuals).
Ask yourself; why Twitter?
If you’ve got a very good answer to this question, then go for it!
If not, think again. Twitter is one place where your strategy (or lack of) will be completely obvious in the execution.
